Dear Mike:

Greetings from the new Cadastral Framework Project Manager. I am excited to be on board such a challenging and innovative project. I am pleased that I had the chance to meet you at the August Washington Framework Work Group meeting. I look forward to working with you throughout this project to meet our common goal.

In order to complete the requirements phase of the Cadastral Framework Project within an accelerated time period, I will need assistance from each project partner. I have compiled and enclosed a Requirements Input Document to help us understand each project partner's business needs. This is your chance to give careful consideration and input into how a cadastral framework could work for your organization. The time and thought put into this document by each partner will directly dictate the success of the subsequent design phase. I encourage you to get input from appropriate co-workers for the most thorough examination of your business needs and requirements. You will probably need assistance from the survey professionals within your organization.

Once you have completed the Requirement Input Document, return it to me in the enclosed return envelope as soon as possible; but no later than September 30, 1997. Your prompt attention is appreciated. These results will be used by our agency analysts to help define the proposed initial requirements for the Cadastral Framework Project. We will host a partner organization meeting on Thursday, November 6, 1997 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Natural Resource Building in Olympia, WA (an agenda will be forthcoming) to present and discuss the proposed requirement documents.

If a cadastral data framework is to become a reality, I need your time and energy commitment now in order to complete this important requirements phase of the project. Please feel free to contact me if I can be of any assistance to you throughout this process.
